Terms of Service

Last updated: August 1, 2025

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the websites, forms, documents and related services provided by DocuHelp LLC (“DocuHelp”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.

1) Who we are & what we do

DocuHelp is a private document-preparation service that guides you through the U.S. passport renewal application by mail (Form DS-82), performs a human review for obvious errors, and provides a ready-to-print packet with a checklist and a pre-addressed mailing label. We are not a government agency, nor are we affiliated with the U.S. Department of State. The official DS-82 form is available for free at travel.state.gov. Government fees are separate and paid directly to the government.

2) Eligibility & your responsibilities

3) Fees, billing & taxes

Our service fee is $39 (one-time), payable after you complete the form and review what you will receive. No subscriptions. Prices are shown in USD and exclude any applicable taxes. Payments are processed by a PCI DSS-validated payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. Your card statement descriptor will identify DocuHelp.

4) Refunds & disputes

Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy. If you have an issue, you agree to contact us first at support@docuhelp.online so we can attempt to resolve it. We obtain explicit checkout acknowledgements to reduce misunderstandings (“government fee is separate,” “DS-82 is free,” “you are paying for document-preparation”).

5) Privacy & data use

Your use of the Services is governed by our Privacy Policy. We practice data minimization, use HTTPS, and route card payments through a PCI DSS-validated processor (SAQ A model). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will honor privacy requests to the extent required by applicable law.

6) Intellectual property

The Services (including text, graphics, logos and design) are owned by DocuHelp or our licensors and are protected by law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services for personal, lawful purposes. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or exploit the Services.

7) No legal advice; no guarantees

DocuHelp is not a law firm and does not provide legal or immigration advice. We do not guarantee passport issuance, processing times, or outcomes—those decisions are made by the U.S. government and postal services.

8) Service changes & availability

We may update, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We strive for high availability but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocuHelp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the Service that gave rise to the claim.

10) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold DocuHelp harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11) Regional scope & compliance

Our Services are intended for use in the United States but may be accessible elsewhere. You are responsible for compliance with local laws where you use the Services. We will honor consumer privacy requests as required by applicable law (e.g., GDPR in the EU/UK, U.S. state laws such as CCPA/CPRA). These Terms do not create rights beyond those provided by law.

12) Third-party services

The Services may link to or interoperate with third-party websites or processors (e.g., payment processing, email delivery). We are not responsible for third-party sites or their practices. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms and policies.

13) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, Indemnity, Governing Law) will survive termination.

14) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page. The “Last updated” date above is fixed and does not change based on your visit.
